Artist

Born in Hokkaido in 1944.
He is active worldwide as a graphic product designer. In 1994 he turned to sculptor. Based at the Takenobu Igarashi Museum Kazenobi in Shintotsukawa-cho, Hokkaido, he creates sculptures using materials such as wood, ceramics, metal, stone, and stained glass, with the motto of "art in everyday scenes.''
In 2020, he received the Hokkaido Cultural Award.
In 2023, the "IGARASHI TAKENOBU Archive" was opened within Kanazawa Institute of Technology.
He is a support ambassador for Shintotsukawa Town in Hokkaido, and a professor emeritus after serving as president of Tama Art University. Passed away in 2025.
