Artist's Message

Kiichi SumikawaSculptorI combined the Red, Blue and Gold ceramic plates with Narihira area, which has Edo tradition, to image a single sky.

Commentary

On this wall, the image of "Tokyo Skytree" extending to the sky as the highest broadcasting tower in the world is overlapped with the traditional Japanese image remaining in this area.
Mr. Sumikawa expresses shaping of "Sori (Warp)" and "TO THE SKY", which has been his theme for many years, by using "ceramic", a traditional material from ancient times in Japan.
