Bashamichi station is a core station of Minatomirai Line which opened in February 2004. The station premise was made use of the profound image of the town lined with historic buildings. As if to antagonize the brick wall, a free metal relief was installed.
A vast image such as the horizon seen from Yokohama Port far away, ripples raising splash, the sun and the moon was expressed with metal. With sparkling gold and silver waves, it invites the viwers to a spreading world.
