24 talented art students from 8 countries in the world won the prizes


The screening meeting for the 46th International TAKIFUJI Art Award was held on September 17th. As a result of the screening, from Japan, 13 winners for Prize for Excellence and 2 for Special Jury Prize were selected. From the other 7 countries (China, France, Germany, South Korea, Singapore, UK, United States), 7 winners for Prize for Excellence and 2 for Special Jury Prize were selected.

Furthermore, the International TAKIFUJI Art Award also awards the Grand Prize (for domestic students) and the International Grand Prize (for overseas students) to particularly outstanding recipients among prize for excellence. The 46th Grand Prize went to SATO Soma (4th year student of Department of Ceramics at Aichi University of the Arts, Japan), and the International Grand Prize went to PARK Yuchae (Seoul National University, South Korea).

This year, we plan to hold an award ceremony in Tokyo and a workshop tour at the “CREARE Atami-Yugawara Studio,” inviting students and faculty members from Japanese universities, as well as the International Grand Prix winner from overseas. The winners from Japan and overseas will be presented with scholarships and certificates by TAKI Hisao, the director-general of Japan Traffic Culture Association.
