Western-style Painter

Born in Aomori prefecture. After graduating from Joshibi University of Art and Design, she became a professor of Department of Fine Arts at the university, a professor of Graduate School of Art and Design at the university, and the president of the university. Known for her style based on blue called "Sano Blue". Passed away in 2023.

History

1932: Born in Aomori Prefecture
1955: Graduated from Western-style Painting Course, Department of Fine Arts, Joshibi University of Art and Design
1957: Member of Wemen Artists Association
1969: Member of Shinseisaku Society
1986: Her work was purchased by Cultural agency as an excellent work
1987: Professor of Department of Fine Arts at Joshibi University of Art and Design
1993: Jury at "Yasui Award
1994: Professor of Graduate School of Art and Design at Joshibi University of Art and Design
2004: Held "Nui Sano Exhibition", celebrating her winning of Grand Prize at the 26th Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Museum of Art
2007: President of Joshibi University of Art and Design (until 2011)
2023: Passed away
