Artist's Message
Tomoki MoriyamaJapanese-style PainterOwing to the wonderful development of transportation and information and communication technology, the world has become closer. At the same time, as everything is consumed equally, the idea of global is illuminating the local again.
As the theme of stained glass installed in the lobby of this airport, I chose the old tale called "Momotaro (Peach Boy)" as a symbol to evoke memories of Japan and Okayama, and expressed it with the visual like Ukiyoe recalling Japanese culture.
In order to produce a place where many people come and go with expectations and hopes, I painted the appearances of Momotaro and the fellows who are about to start moving as a decorative light scene.
