Cherry Blossom
Stained Glass "Cherry Blossom" / Original Designer and Supervisor : Eiji Mitooka / Elevator Hall, 4F Office Lobby, Osaka Station City North Gate Building / Installed on May, 2011
The office space "Office Tower, North Gate Building" connected directly to the West Japan's largest transport terminal "JR Osaka station" opened in spring 2011.
In this age's social trend called "eco" in our environments and lifestyles including energy, "Plants", which feel "ECO" essence and bring healing effects, were used as motifs for the stained glasses installed at the office tower in North Gate Building.
Among them, "cherry blossom" is the national flower of Japan, and it is also set as the flower of Osaka city. Cherry blossom with flower words "Beauty of the mind, beauty of the spirit" is also a flower that make Japanese feel their identity. Since the office tower is located in Osaka Station City, I used cherry blossom as the motif to symbolize Osaka.
