Commentary

Mr. Takidaira expressed Japanese nostalgia, "Furusato (Home)" in a cutout picture. There are distant memories hazy in the fog and days in home like illusions. From the cut picture screen, the nostalgic heart scenery at the time of a boy or a girl gently revives.
The work combines autumn evening scenery, the mountain range of Tsukuba, and the scenery of children who follow petals under full bloom cherry blossoms. A scenery of a nostalgic Japanese "Furusato (Home)" is spread through the light of the stained glass.
