23 talented art students from 8 countries in the world won the prizes

The screening meeting for the 43th International TAKIFUJI Art Award was held on September 12th. As a result of the screening, from Japan, 13 winners for Prize for Excellence and 2 for Special Jury Prize were selected. From the other 7 countries (China, France, Germany, Korea, Singapore, UK and United States), 7 winners for Prize for Excellence and 1 for Special Jury Prize were selected. Also, for those winners with particularly outstanding works, Grand Prize and international Grand Prize were awarded.

The International TAKIFUJI Art Award also awards the Grand Prize (for domestic students) and the International Grand Prize (for overseas students) to particularly outstanding recipients among prize for excellence. The 43th Grand Prize went to KIKAWA Hinata (4th year student of sculpture at Hiroshima City University, Japan), and the International Grand Prize went to Lukas HENGELHAUPT (Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design, Germany).
The winners of the other prizes will be announced on our website.

This year, because of the time required for Japanese immigration procedures due to the Covid-19 issue, we have refrained from inviting foreign winners to the awards ceremony.
