Western-style Painter

Born in Yamaguchi prefecture in 1922. Always draws inner mental scenery. His screens are filled with the passion to say life praise, and his spirit to approach the root of life is conveyed. Professor Emeritus of Tama Art University.

1942

Graduated from Oil Painting Department, Japan Art College

1950

Returned from Siberia (detained for 4 years)

1957

Won a prize at Kofukai (in 1958 also)

1959

Became a member of Kofukai Art Association

1964

Held the 1st solo exhibition at Ginza Shiseido gallery

1966

Won a prize at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten), and became an advisor there
However, has not exhibited there since 1971

1967

Received the 10th Yasui Award (Sotaro Yasui Memorial Award)
"Show performer" was collected by National Museum of Modern Art
Held the 2nd solo exhibition at Ginza Shiseido Gallery

1968

Held the third solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Gallery
Exhibited his work by invitation from JAF at Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibition
"Woman" was collected by the Hakone Open-air Museum

1969

Held the 4th solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Gallery

1971

Held the 5th solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Gallery

1972

Went to 11 countries in Europe

1974

Returned home

1976

Withdrew from Kofukai Art Association
Held Shin Miyazaki exhibition at Takashimaya in Tokyo and Osaka
Became a lecturer at Tama Art University
"Traveling performer" and others were collected by Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Museum

1977

Held Shin Miyazaki sketch exhibition at Humanite in Nagoya and Hiro Gallery in Tokyo

1978

Organized Concrete Exhibition for Tomorrow, and became a coterie

1979

Exhibited his work at the first Concrete Exhibition for Tomorrow
Visited Soviet Union
Held the 6th solo exhibition at Osaka Form Gallery (in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya)

1980

Exhibited his work at the 2nd Concrete Exhibition for Tomorrow
