Sculptor, Designer

Born in Takigawa city, Hokkaido. Worked as a graphic and product designer both in Japan and abroad. Moved to Los Angeles in 1994, and devoted to sculpture production. Came back from the United States in 2005 and produced sculptures and reliefs in public spaces throughout Japan. Became President of Tama Art University in 2011 (- 2015). Professor Emeritus of Tama Art University.

History

1944年: Born in Takigawa city, Hokkaido
1968年: Graduated from Tama Art University
1969年: Completed Master's degree in graduate school of University of California, Los Angeles
1970年: Became independent in Tokyo
1994年: Moved to Los Angeles and worked as a sculptor
2005年: Came back from the United States, and had an atelier in Akiya, Miura Peninsula
2011年: President of Tama Art University
2015年: Professor Emeritus of Tama Art University
