Born in 1912. Known as one of the few marble sculptors in Japan also by noble concrete sculptures supported by his faith. Received the Order of St. Gregory the Great by 'Hara Castle' from the Pope in 1973. Became Person of Cultural Merits in 1999. Passed away in 2002.
