Final screening for the 42th International TAKIFUJI Art Award winners was held on September 27th. Ms. YUZAWA Sachiko, Professor, Tama Art University, the 8th TAKIFUJI Art Award winner, join the juries. The results were, 13 Prizes for Excellence and 3 Special Jury Prizes to artists from Japan; and for 6 countries including Korea, China, Singapore, France, Germany and the USA, there were 6 Prizes for Excellence and 1 Special Jury Prize. In addition, the winners of the Grand Prize (Ms. IDEMOTO Sakura, Joshibi University of Art and Design) and the International Grand Prize (Ms. Weizi SONG, Art Center College of Design) were selected from the Prize for Excellence recipients.
In 2021, the award ceremony and workshop tour have been canceled due to the covid-19. Instead, an online exchange meeting was held for domestic winners. At the exchange meeting, the winners introduced themselves, talked about the theme of the award-winning work, the background of the production, and the graduation work they are currently working on. The association explained about the Traffic Culture Exhibition, which is collaborating with past art award winners, explained the public art production studio that we were planning to visit, and introduced the public art that we have worked on so far. At the end of the event, there was a free talk session between the winner.
