Final screening for the 41th International TAKIFUJI Art Award winners was held on October 5th. The results were, 11 Prizes for Excellence and 2 Special Jury Prizes to artists from Japan; and for 6 countries including Korea, China, Singapore, France, Germany and the USA, there were 6 Prizes for Excellence and 1 Special Jury Prize. In addition, the winners of the Grand Prize (Ms. KOBAYASHI Konomi, Musashino Art University) and the International Grand Prize (Ms. Ymane CHABI-GARA, École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris) were selected from the Prize for Excellence recipients.
The award ceremony was cancelled due to the covid-19 this year. Instead, the association organized a round-table discussion with the winners of 4 arts universities around Tokyo, including professor of Musashino Art University, Mr. ITO Makoto. The moderator was NAGATA Akiko, an art writer, and under the theme of “creative activities in the time of Covid-19”, the participants talked respectively their creation and the impact on their artwork.
